wine 101

as of yesterday, my dad has declared that i need to really learn how to drink wine. well actually, he's always wanted me to identify and appreciate wine, but the lessons just began yesterday. wine is tops among my dad's many interests which makes it rather sweet that he wants to pass on some of that to me.

on tonight's wine list: a 1976 riesling auslese imported from germany. the grapes for this wine are harvested sooner than ice wine, but later than spätlese riseling (the later the harvest, the sweeter the wine). this dessert wine might be ideal for those who have not quite developed the taste for more dry wines. and that concludes wine 101 for today.


starting to feel the tinge of restlessness of the straight up home life. but i might as well stop to breathe and appreciate the precious quiet moments while i can.
